An irreversible insight is an insight after which a person can no longer sincerely return to the former way of interpreting experience. The very point from which events are perceived changes.
As a result, the entire perceptual map is rebuilt: such an insight cannot be “forgotten” or undone — it changes the structure of personality and the way experience is lived.
